Hi,
I’ve only recently found your site and what a great site it is. I was recently going through some old stuff of mine, and I came across these action figures. For the life of me, I can’t remember what they were called. I know it’s a long shot, but I was wondering if you or someone you know may have come across them before. The only thing I know about them is you can swap their limbs around and I think each one came with at least an extra arm you could swap over.Thanks.
Steve
Hey Steve,
Thanks for dropping by the Weirdo Toys site. It’s always a pleasure to hear from the readers and fellow toy lovers.
I like the odd toys you sent in the pic. I’m not quite sure what they are, but they could be related to those old 80s toys that go by the name of ManTech (by Remco). They were just different characters with interchangeable accessories, body parts and stuff.
Anyone else out there have any more idea of what these things are?
I don’t know what they are, but i really wish i had some of these guys.
Definitely not Mantech figures
Yeah, I really screwed up with that conclusion didn’t I?
By looking at the bottom figure with the green, distorted face, I would guess that these are action figures based on the charater ” The Mask”. He looks like he is from the original comic version instead of the Jim Carrey movie version.
is there any kind of date, or company imprinted anywhere on these guys?
i defintly had sum of these as a kid, and in my big weapons and accsessory box i keep, i deffo have a few arms and legs tht belong to these guys!
the black one’s face looks like slipknot’s sid wilson’s all hope is gone mask…
I had three of these in the mid 80’s. The Pink&blue guy on the right, a white/black guy with an eye-patch and a blue/silver guy with half a mechanical face.
I would really like to know who made them and what they were called!
After almost six years, I can finally give you an answer, Steve! These are X-Changer action figures… Took me a long time to find the name, but I thought they were awesome toys!
